Literature Text

I am a Muslim and I am proud.
I am not afraid to say it out loud.
Their loud words may pierce me,
But my faith will not deceive me.

I am human, like everyone else.
I bleed, I cry, I laugh and I will die.

Yes it is true;
Sticks and stones can break your bones,
But words will hit you harder.

Hate me not; hurt me not,
For if I am true, I will not hate you.
We are told to love, not to hate, and those who do otherwise,
Do so in misguided faith.

I am Muslim; I am proud.
I dare to say it out loud.
Love me, and I will love you,
If that my vow, so I shall do.
Stop the hate! We are people too, we shouldn't have to hide or slink in the shadows because of Kafirs (those who pretend to be Muslims but actually are disbelievers).

Done off a base.
